 \nJoin us for the first-ever Albany Chapter Student-Alumni Career Conversations event.  The event is designed to link UB alumni with current UB students and recent graduates who are interested in launching their careers in the Capital region.  As opposed to a more formal\, job-oriented career fair\, our goal is to facilitate informal discussions on various careers\, career education and career paths.

 \nThe Career Conversations event provides you with the opportunity to discuss your career path and what led you to what you presently do\, to describe your organization and its mission\, to discuss any current or future openings - volunteer\, internship or fulltime - your organization may have\, and finally\, to offer any tips or words of encouragement to these interested students and recent graduates.
 \n 
 \nWe understand that due to current economic conditions\, you may not feel comfortable acting as a representative of your organization and may not have any open positions or internships to discuss. However\, we still hope you will consider joining us at the event. Please know that the students and young alumni attending this event are interested in learning about a variety of career fields\, and they strongly value your suggestions and advice. Your willingness to speak with them will be useful and deeply appreciated.

 \nThe dress code for the evening is business.
 \n 
 \n A private alumni networking reception will be held from 5-6 p.m.\, followed by the Student-Alumni Career Conversations Event beginning promptly at 6 p.m.

 \nRSVP Deadline:  Please register by Monday\, March 1\, 2010 to ensure your information is included in the handout that will be provided to the students.
