SUMMARY:Volunteer for REALM
DESCRIPTION:REALM is a one-day “shadowing” experience designed for UB students to observe and experience leadership in the real world. UB students will be paired up with local community and business leaders to spend a day learning about leadership in the context of a work place setting.
 \n
\nREALM is not a career mentoring experience\, but rather a leadership mentoring experience. While student/ Mentor pairings are intentionally made to accommodate special interests\, there is
\nnot always a direct career correlation between student and Mentor. The day serves as the beginning of a wonderful mentoring relationship.
 \n
 \n How do I participate?
\nGo to www.leadership.buffalo.edu and click on Leadership\, where you will find a link to the REALM program. Complete the online Mentor Interest Form by Friday\, February 5th.
 \n
\nYou will be notified approximately two weeks prior to the event as to who your student will be. The student will then contact you prior to the day of the program to discuss appropriate dress and how to best prepare for the day. Please
\nrespond to the student’s initial contact to confirm your participation and provide them with a schedule of your day.
