 \n                                    -Vikki Pryor was recently named one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in New York City Business by Crain’s\, New York\, which has also cited SBLI USA one of the Best Places to Work in New York. 
 \n                                     
 \n                                    -A recipient of the UB Alumni Association’s Distinguished Award last year\, Ms. Pryor\, in 2002\, established the Marie Nesbitt Promise Prize\, a $5\,000 award honoring her grandmother and given annually to a UB Law student of African descent who has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and professional promise. 
 \n                                     
 \n                                    -Join us for drinks and hors d’oeuvres\, meet Ms. Pryor – and other UB alumni – hear about her career and UB’s influence in it. Ms. Pryor has also been honored by the Law School and sits on its Dean’s Advisory Council.

 \n                                    -Her arrival at SBLI in 1999 resulted in an immediate turnaround: a conversion into a diversified national financial services firm now available in 49 states\, with a commitment to diversity and boasting almost $16 billion in insurance\, more than $1.5 billion in assets and some 300\,000 customers.

 \n                                     COST  for members of either alumni association\, who may bring a guest at the rate\, is $25. The non-member cost is $35. Dress is business casual.
