Michael Richards (School of Architecture & Planning, 2002 )
The National Architecture Accreditation Board has recently created a new architecture degree entitled, D.ARCH. The new Doctorate of Architecture program requirements are nearly identical to existing 3+ M.ARCH program requirements across the country. Many 3+ M.Arch programs, like the one offered at UB, actually exceed the minimum requirements for the D.Arch. The NAAB states that Universities with 3+ M.Arch programs may upgrade their titles to D.ARCH. The new degrees can be offered both for current students and retroactively for graduates. More information and a petition can be found at www.marchtodarch.com. Thank you.
