Ablin (PhD,1967, with Dr. Hope Ritter), Linda Lutwack Ablin (BSc, 1963),and Herb Rosenberg (PhD, 1968, with Dr. Carl Gans), fellow students in Biological Sciences renewed friendships in Tucson, Arizona after 42 years! Herb saw local newspaper article about Dick's work on PSA and located him via Google.

Helen (Hess) Cappuccino (School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, 1988) writes, "Helen Hess Cappuccino (Honors 1984, MD 1988) writes, My husband Andy (MD 1988) and I have 6 children- Jacqueline 27, Andrew 21, Mac 20, Jake 16, Nick 15, and Lizzy 13. Helen works at Roswell as a Breast Surgical Oncologist, and Andrew is a spine surgeon who runs Buffalo Spine Surgery, and works for the Buffalo Bills. Jackie is a graduate of Canisius, Mac is at NYU, and Andrew is at Ohio State. Nick and Lizzy are ballet dancers who have spent summers with New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theater and Bolshoi. Jake is a Junior at Nichols. We split our time between Lockport and New york City."

John Stacey (Faculty of Social Sciences, 1970) writes, "After graduation in psychology in 1970,I married my SUNY sweetheart Harriet Dolinsky('69), got a master's and Ph.D. in developmental psychology from Catholic University, got divorced, interned in Montreal, ended up with a 26-year(so far career as a psychologist in Eugene, Oregon. Marriage brought two stepdaughters and a bio-son into my life. The northwest has been a joy, with good friends and feeling at times as if I live in a national park."  Click here for photo

Timothy Sanders (Faculty of Social Sciences, 1984) writes, "I recently retired from the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency in Washington, DC after 25 years of federal government service. During this period I primarily worked as a Cartographic Analyst within the Defense Department. In another year I plan on moving to my other home in Lititz, PA. People are friendly, lots of farmland, and there's a lot less traffic!"

Peter Sorman (1975, Faculty of Social Sciences) writes, "I graduated UB in 1975 with a BA in psychology. Following a MS at UB in 1978, I went to New York City to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology. I entered the New School For Social Research for a enroute Masters in Clinical Psycholgy (1982) followed by a clinical internship at Queens Children's Psychiatric Center. I entered the PhD Clinical Neuropsychology program at City University of New York with specialty training at Mt. Sinai College of Medicine in the Departments of Neurosurgery and Child Psychiatry. I graduated with my PhD in 1986. I accepted a position as Program Director at a rehabilitation facility in Rochester New York in 1986. One year later, I opened my private practice as a neuropsychologist. Now, twenty years later, I am involved with forensic neuropsychology and conduct independent medical examinations for insurance companies, law firms, and various agencies. Examinations and legal testimony include traumatic brain injury, lead poisoning, work related injuries and criminal evaluations. I am married, have four children and enjoy the martial arts(second degree Black Belt Taekwondo) and racing. I hope to complete my first book in 2007-08. Since 1990 I have served academic administration roles; Department Chair at University of Memphis, Dean of Education, Loyola University Chicago,and now Vice Provost, Marquette University. My daughter Heather is a lawyer in NYC. In 2003 I married Alan Bloom, a 1969 U.B. alum."

After earing my MBA, I spent about ten years in the not-for-profit sector until I accepted an opportunity at a Public Accounting firm in New England in the fall of 1999. I recently accepted a Manager position in the fall of 2004 at Appletree Business Services of Londonderry, NH. Appletree specifically caters to the payroll and accounting needs of small businesses. Robert Battig (2001) writes, "Robert has been employed at Glendale Adventist Medical Center for the past four years as lead therapist in the Transitional Care Unit. He was married in 2003 to Emillie Hilario (an RN at GAMC) on the television show "For Better or For Worse", where they were given a free wedding in exchange for letting their friends plan it all. They bought a home in the hills of Tujunga CA where they hope to raise a family. In 2002 they finished the LA Marathon (her first) in under five hours, and continue to aspire to finish under four. They enjoy spending their free time on home improvement and fitness."

Michelle Schuyler (1997) writes, "Barry Van Steele 1997 and Michelle Schuyler 1997 were married in August 1998. They had their first child Katerina in April 2004. They currently reside in ALbany, NY. Barry is a procurement specialist and Michelle is a teacher."

James Ryan (1968) writes, "After graduating from UB, I served 4 1/2 years in the US Air Force including one year in Viet Nam. I then worked two years for Texaco before begining a career with the Michelin Tire Corporation which has spanned 31 years. After recently completing a stint as Sales Force Development Manager at the Corporate Headquarters in Greenville, SC, I recently assumed new responsibilities as the Regional Channel Sales Manager for the Western Zone of the US, based in Albuquerque, NM, wher I plan to retire within the next few years."
